About this training
This one-day workshop is an introductory day that will seek to both raise awareness and deepen our knowledge of self-harm’s increasing role and function in children and young people’s worlds. It will also include techniques and strategies to take away and implement in your own practice, as well as explore ways of managing your own self-care and resilience in working within such a difficult and emotive field.
Who is it for?
Anybody likely to encounter self-harm in children and young people. The workshop will be particularly relevant to those who seek to support children and young people who self-harm in their capacity as therapists, school pastoral staff, and those who work in youth, youth offending, social and health carer settings. The learning from the day will be equally relevant to those working with adults.
