Training
About this training
We’re holding a one day CPD training event which will look at working with complex trauma, exploring the challenges of working with girls and women who present with a history of trauma, and the impact on therapists and other professionals.
The speakers are Dr Anne Marie Coleman and Dr Gail Taylor.
The content of the one day conference will comprise:
- working therapeutically and effectively with girls and women who have experienced complex psychological trauma, abuse (including coercive control, physical, emotional, sexual and childhood sexual abuse) adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and attachment difficulties
- exploring the impact of the work (vicarious traumatisation and vicarious post traumatic growth) and identifying our barriers to engagement in this demanding area
There will also be the opportunity to bring current case studies/supervision issues for discussion.
