About this supervision group

The second meeting of the newly formed West Cornwall Westcountry Association for Counselling Group (WAC).

I am happy to announce that we will be welcoming our first speaker to the event! If you are interested in meeting other counsellors, please come along!

I am pleased to announce that the first speaker at the West Cornwall West Country Association for Counselling (WAC) meeting will be Mr Peter Smith RSHom FSHom, Registered Homeopath, Light Touch Therapist and Jin Shin Jyutsu Practitioner.

Peter will be presenting ‘Jin Shin Jyutsu’, a very ancient healing art that predates acupuncture.

You will learn how to

  • Balance your Trinity Flows and your Meridian Flow … it is the One Flow, broken into 12 parts for simplicity’s sake; it is on on both sides of the body.
  • Calm your entire system (especially that Ratty Mind!)
  • Understand how to balance your ‘attitudes’ (emotional habits) by holding your hands …
  • Open up the major 26 energy points or areas on the body
  • In case you think it sounds all very earnest and serious … it is above all FUN!

About Peter

“I have been interested in Natural Medicine since 1974 and Jin Shin Jyutsu is without doubt the loveliest life skill that I have ever met, as it teaches us an entire healing system very simply.”

I use JSJ every day, on waking and before I go to sleep.  As a result of studying JSJ in 2010, the 58-year old Duracell Bunny that I was is no more as I learned how to become a Human Being rather than a Human Doing in a visceral sense not simply intellectually. Phew! What a relief!  I show it to all my clients, of all ages.

It is simply what I wish I had been shown when I was a child, as it would have radically empowered me much earlier in my life. Still, it’s never too late! LOL”

Peter Smith RSHom FSHom is a Registered Homeopath, a Light Touch Therapist and Jin Shin Jyutsu Practitioner. He has worked in Cornwall since 1983/4. As a homeopath he treated 200 people affected by the Camelford/Lowermoor Water Poisoning in N Cornwall from 1988 onwards.

He has been a bodyworker since before finishing his Homeopathic training in 1984 and recently established the Gentle Muscle Release Academy. He is the organiser for JSJ workshops in Cornwall.

He is completing work on his book: Riding the Cosmic Unicycle – A Road Map to Finding Ourselves and Staying In The Saddle During Times of Great Change. It is a collection of tools acquired over his 35 years in practice which he shares with his clients.

He also runs 1-day workshops about it. He hopes that these tools will be of value to all sorts of complementary therapists, as it teaches dynamic and energetic ways to easily empower clients and show them how to become truly assertive, calm and grounded, especially useful for those experiencing panic attacks, to name one area.

He can be reached at his home: The Barn, Grenna Lane, Perranwell Station, Truro TR3 7LN 01872 870801 Email: [email protected]

If you are interested in coming along, please let me know. I would be particularly interested to hear from anybody would be interested in talking about an aspect of counselling that they are passionate about too.
