Student Services is seeking to appoint an experienced Counsellor to join the Well-being Service. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a skilled counsellor to have a positive impact on the support delivered to students who are studying at the University of Huddersfield.
The successful candidate will work closely with counselling colleagues and the Wider Well-being and Disability Team to ensure that students receive support to meet their needs during their time at university; enabling them to engage with their studies and have the best possible experience during their time at Huddersfield. The successful candidate will deliver short term counselling for a range of issues and will be experienced in working with a diverse caseload.
The service is looking for an individual who has excellent interpersonal and communication skills and is able to build successful therapeutic relationships. They should hold BACP (or equivalent) accreditation and be able to demonstrate their ability to work within the BACP ethical framework.
