About this training
These workshops are delivered by Daniela Schlemm & Lee Roethenbaugh.
You can come to one or all four of the days.
We all write scripts for our lives. Consciously or unconsciously, we influence how scenes will play out and our characters unfold. Too often, we replay old scripts, or even live life according to other peoples scripts.
But here is your opportunity to take a step back, reconsider how your life is playing out and take control over writing it using this cutting edge body-mind therapy “Pesso Boyden System Psychomotor”.
What is involved?
Four workshop days where you will work in a small supportive group using Pesso Boyden.
How does it work?
Present consciousness is woven out of memory, that means we see ‘The Now’ through the lens of our past experience. In Pesso Boyden Therapy we look at how we can change our lives.
Bessel van der Kolk dedicated one chapter of his Book ‘The Body Keeps The Score’ to this amazing method. Pesso Boyden Therapy can help you to rewire your negative thinking and dissolve unwanted patterns that keep you from enjoying your life. He writes “The scene recreated in a structure reveals the internal map and the hidden rules that the client has been living by along with a three- dimensional image of what they have had to face as a child. It then offers a ‘possibility sphere’ in which to create a different outcome.”
It also has been described as getting in a time machine, travelling back into a hypothetical past and finally getting your childhood needs met on a symbolic level. This leads to completion, feelings of satisfaction and peace. Whilst we cannot change our history, what we seek is to create an embodied experience, a new memory of an alternative possibility, of an ideal interaction which gets wired in the long-term memory.
Over the four monthly workshops participants will experience having structures and observing and participating in other people’s work. This can be as powerful as having a structure yourself, as you can piggyback on someone else’s experience and learn about the method.
CPD certificates are available.
