About this opportunity

This opportunity is on offer for a qualified and experienced Counsellor who is passionate about providing meaningful and effective therapeutic interventions for common mental health problems. In addition the role includes offering clinical supervision to our team of dedicated counsellors to meet both BACP and IAPT requirements and enhance good clinical practice and their wellbeing.

Applicants who are not BACP accredited & have not completed their Supervisor training will not be considered.

The Mindsmatter service comprises Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners (PWPs), and Cognitive Behavioural Therapists in addition to Counsellors who together offer a range of IAPT compliant psychological therapies and support to help people make positive changes to reduce stress and anxiety and improve their wellbeing.

Mindsmatter Counsellors are dynamic and self-motivated individuals that offer screening, assessment and treatment for common mental health problems, offering service users a greater degree of treatment choice and flexibility by providing 1:1 brief time limited counselling. This service is provided across a number of primary care and other community venues in the locality.

Applicants should have a proven track record of delivering high quality service outcomes against robust performance measures in addition to having excellent interpersonal qualities; time management skills; an ability to work autonomously; and an enthusiasm for working in an ever-developing IAPT environment.
Applicants should also have a proven track record of providing high quality supervision and training for counsellors.

Hours / Pattern of work

37.5 hours, core service is 9am-5pm Monday to Friday, with limited flexibility to work earlier morning and evening clinics each week.
