About the Role
We are seeking to appoint an experienced Bereavement Counsellor to support our patients who are living with life limiting conditions and to provide on-going support to their families and carers.
We are able increase our family support services and are now looking for part-time counsellors who will be able to provide up to 22.5 hours per week (3 days) on a permanent contract basis. Working hours can be flexible over Monday to Friday.
You will be an accredited counsellor / psychotherapist with the BACP/UKCP. You must also have post qualification experience in clinical practice carrying out pre and post bereavement counselling in a medical/hospice environment.
You will have a Diploma/Degree in Counselling with 3 years minimum post qualification working experience.
You will be able to demonstrate strong communication skills, both verbally and written which will enable you to establish professional, effective working relationships with a range of partners including Children, young people, vulnerable adults and children. You be a confident motivated individual who is able to project warmth, empathy and sensitivity when supporting your patients, their families and carers.
You will be an organised individual who is able to prioritise and manage their own workloads whilst working within a highly emotional and flexible environment.
